Concept of Product Category Codes and Their Uses:

  • Definition of Item Group Codes: Item group codes are examples containing symbols or numbers used to distinguish the outer packaging of products. This code is used to refer to the inner packaging that contains multiple products. The role of the product box code is to efficiently mark, track, and manage these packages.
  • Utilization of Codes in Invoices: When using these codes in invoices, they indicate the actual number of items inside the package. This helps clarify the quantities sold.
  • Facilitating Product Identification: By using unique codes for each group of items, teams and employees can easily identify and differentiate products even when there is a large number of items.
  • Accurate Recording: Item group codes make it easier to record inventory and sales more accurately. When a unique code is assigned to each item, it becomes easy to record sales and purchases accurately without mixing up items.
  • Inventory Organization: Using item group codes helps better organize inventory. Related products can be grouped under the same category, and codes can be used to identify these categories, making it easier to review inventory and prepare reports.
  • Improving Order and Shipping Procedures: When item group codes are assigned to items, it simplifies order and shipping preparation. Teams can accurately identify items and prepare shipments easily based on the codes.
